Rotary dryers are used to minimize the liquid moisture content of the raw material by bringing it into direct contact with a heated gas.

The gas stream is made up of a mixture of air and combustion gases from a burner. Our rotary dryers can use coal or wood as a heat source to eliminate the need for expensive Natural gas or Propane.

The material to be dried enters the dryer, and as the dryer rotates, the material is lifted up by a series of internal fins inside the wall of the dryer. When the material becomes high enough to roll back off the fins, it falls back down to the bottom of the dryer, passing through the hot gas stream as it falls.
